Storm Temple Pilot picked up her second straight win in an allowance/optional at Canterbury Park earlier this afternoon. Just as in her last race, she broke sharply from the gate and jumped on top early. She set quick but reasonable fractions of 22.29 and 45.22. She led by 3.5 lengths at the top of the stretch and had just enough to hold off Maid Easy to prevail by a neck. Storm Temple Pilot went off at 7/2 and paid $9.40, $4.60 and $3.40. The $10,000 yearling purchase record improves to 4-3-3 and earnings of $117,607 from 18 starts.
