Sergios Pride was the easy winner of the 5th race at Belterra Park earlier this evening. He broke well and sat just over the shoulder of the leader, Enlisted Man down the back stretch and into the turn. He poked a head in front in the turn and pulled out to a 1 1/2 length lead entering the stretch. From there, he just added onto his lead and drew away to win by more than 3 lengths in a time of 1:17.18.
Giovanny Garcia told Susan that everything went just as planned and that he had plenty of horse and Sergio responded willingly when asked. Susan tells us he has come out of the race in good order so far.
Sergios Pride improves his record to 3-5-2 with $53,876 in earnings from 20 starts.
