Pocket Aces Racing LLC is extremely happy to introduce the third purchase from the Keeneland September Sale, a colt by Munnings out of La Luna Latte by Candy Ride. We purchased the colt earlier this afternoon.
This colt has the size, scope and strength we’re always looking for. He tracks well through the hind and forelimbs. He has a great frame with ideal shoulder and hip angles. We love the power in his forearms and gaskins. He has a great big walk. He’s very athletic and reaches out with his hind limbs. He was the best mover we saw today. He looks like he has a chance to be early and very quick.
Munnings is a proven sire with 1,226 foals of racing age. He has 935 starters for 76% and 671 winners for 55%. He has sired 77 black type winners with 28 graded stakes winners, including 2024 graded stakes winner, Howard Wolowitz. Other graded stakes winners include I’m a Chatterbox, Jack Christopher, Kilmari, Scaramouche and El Deal.
He is the second foal out of a mare by top class sire, Candy Ride. He has names like Speightstown, Gone West and Tiznow in his 5-cross pedigree.
To say this colt slipped through the cracks is an understatement.
